Board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at Dermatology Partners’ Westminster office honored for professional excellence, community leadership, and mentorship.
BALTIMORE, MD — (April 23, 2025) - Dermatology Partners – the Mid-Atlantic’s premiere privately owned, physician-led dermatology group – is proud to announce that Dr. Olufolakemi “Kemi” Awe, a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon, has been recognized as one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women for 2025 by The Daily Record.
Thirty years ago, The Daily Record founded Maryland’s Top 100 Women to recognize outstanding achievements by women demonstrated through professional accomplishments, community leadership and mentoring. To date, nearly 2,000 women have been honored.

Prior to joining Dermatology Partners, Dr. Awe was lead co-investigator for a NIH-funded project focused on novel topical therapies for improving sun-damaged skin and preventing skin cancer.
Dr. Awe pursued her MD/PhD at Indiana University in Indianapolis where she worked with one of the leading T-helper cell biologists in the country while pursuing her PhD in Immunology.

Winners will be profiled in a special magazine that will be inserted into the May 6 issue of The Daily Record and will be available online at TheDailyRecord.com.
A panel of business and legal professionals, previous Maryland’s Top 100 Women honorees from throughout the state, and a representative of The Daily Record reviewed the final applications and selected this year’s honorees.
Nominees were asked to complete an application outlining their educational and career history, professional and community involvement, corporate and nonprofit board memberships, and mentoring experience. They were encouraged to submit letters of recommendation from those who are familiar with their accomplishments professionally, in the community and through mentoring.
In addition to the Westminster location, Dermatology Partners serves the Baltimore area with offices in Sparks and Owings Mills.
