Erin Carty, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. She earned her bachelor’s degrees in biology and Spanish from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis before obtaining her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Carty completed her dermatology residency at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. She has served as lead dermatologist at Riva Dermatology in North Carolina for the past four years.
Dr. Carty’s clinical interests span the full spectrum of dermatology, including skin cancer detection and surgery, as well as the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. She has a particular interest in hair loss and completed a research fellowship at the University of Minnesota focused on scarring alopecia. Dr. Carty enjoys caring for patients of all ages and is committed to helping each individual feel confident and comfortable in their own skin.
Recently relocated to the greater Philadelphia area, Dr. Carty has quickly embraced the city — including its passionate sports culture. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and spending time with her husband and their tiny dog, Fiona. An avid runner, she has completed four of the seven World Marathon Majors.
